MyInternetBusiness Review – Is My Internet Business A Scam Or Legitimate Business Opportunity?

September 30th, 2008 -- Posted in Article | No Comments »

My Internet Business is a newly launched company to hit the internet marketing industry. This article will give you an honest review of the company and the opportunity.

The Company

Darren Gaudry, the founder and CEO of Passport To Wealth, along with some other expert marketers have developed this new business system. With a launch date of April 1, 2008, My Internet Business was offered exclusively to the members of Passport To Wealth during its pre-launch. The members of Passport To Wealth were given a discounted membership rate to enroll during the pre-launch period. Although the coach legacy perfume companies are separate, MyInternetBusiness does appear to just be an updated, revised takeoff of Passport To Wealth.

The Products

The My Internet Business product line appears to be the same general fare offered by other high ticket programs. Included are the traditional library of ebooks and bundles of software. Unfortunately, they do not appear to have any new, real proprietary products. This is unfortunate for their distributors as that is what the market is demanding, unique, one of a kind products.

Cost To Join And Compensation Plan

There are 4 different options to join the company at:

* Bronze Level – $495 to join, $300 for direct sales, coach legacy perfume for overrides

* Silver Level – $995 to join, $700 for direct sales, $150 overrides

* Gold Level – $1995 to join, $1500 direct sales, $300 for overrides

* Platinum Level – $2995 to join, $2000 direct sales, $500 for overrides

The pay structure is an immediate comp plan, having done away with the dinosaur 2up comp plan of Passport To Wealth. This means that you will be paid on your first sale, rather than having to pass up your first 2 sales to your personal sponsor.

My Internet Business does offer a call center where you can hire your coach legacy perfume PBA (Professional Business Assistant). Your PBA will answer the incoming calls from your potential customers and then you pay them a percentage of your commissions for closing your deals for you.

Conclusion

Although MyInternetBusiness is not a scam, it does appear to have some negative attributes. It appears that My Internet Business was designed to eliminate the failed 2up comp plan of Passport to Wealth. Although the 2up comp plan did need to be thrown out, the pay plan of MyInternetBusiness does not appear to be as lucrative as some of its competitors.

The way to achieve duplication and massive leverage is through a matching override comp plan such as Big Ticket To Wealth offers. When you have people earning the same amount for personal sales as well as overrides, this creates an environment of team synergy. You will be much more motivated to train and help your people when you are earning a matching override bonus from their efforts.

Another concern is realized with the product line. They appear to be the standard fare with nothing fresh and new to offer. This could present a challenge for their members in marketing the program.

If you are looking to earn a Substantial Online Income, visit Brian’s Big Ticket To Wealth website.

Brian McCoy is a 6-figure earner in the home business industry who specializes in coaching others on how to create a full time income via the internet while working from the comfort of their own home. He has his own training website to get people off to a fast start.

Review on All Networkers

September 30th, 2008 -- Posted in Article | No Comments »

Allnetworkers claims to be an advertising service that costs $29.95. You can then make a monthly residual income from the allnetworkers site, or you can use the tools available to promote your other home businesses. At this time, the tools seem to include mostly organizational items such as calendars, contacts, reports, etc.

The company pay plan is based on a 3 x 7 forced matrix and each person can earn up to $11,592/month. According to the website, allnetworkers takes the idea of duplication and automation and adds relationships to the mix. The concept allows plenty of help for allnetworkers members. The company is currently still in pre-launch and has had some technical issues that have delayed its launch.

Where is the product here, you should ask…Are they selling picks and shovels to other gold-miners?

There’s a lot of this going on today…Everyone’s looking to make their fortunes, but the real money is in selling people on how to find the gold and not telling them where the “gold” is

Recommended? After reviewing the site, I’m still not sure what the product is. They say advertising, but I don?t see any advertising links. The concept of extra support is good. The price is not out of line. It might be best to bookmark this site for now and check it again in a couple months.

I do not recommend this product because it seems like just another way to create a program out of people’s needs.

We see this often enough with network marketing companies that start based on health products, and then they end up over charging for their products just to make a program out of it.

All your advertising can be done via the search engines and the type-in traffic you get from that source. You can also try using solo ads in ezines, classified ads, Craigs list and ebay Classifieds section to get your product or program advertised.

I review home-based businesses for a living, and the best one I’ve found so far with a system proven to work is at http://marketersrelief.com

Fracas by Robert Piguet – Timeless Cult Fragrance of the Happy Few

September 30th, 2008 -- Posted in Article | No Comments »

Smells, like sounds and colors spark off emotions, especially when harmoniously combined, like musical chords. Situations and conflicts can also provoke emotions. The overwhelming feelings experienced by audiences of films or plays were already known by the classic Greek tragedians : they called these extreme changes in emotions “catharsis”, which can translate as purification.

In his work “Poetics”, Aristotle has analysed how the triggering of sudden intense emotional disruptions result in a feeling of renewal, restoration and cleansing. Like a beneficial storm, the cathartis or purification’s mysterious psychological process leaves us refreshed and revitalized but transformed.

Works of art capable to bring us to the level of catharsis are few: poems, plays, songs, symphonies, paintings or now films they remain the legacy of giants, the Homer, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Mozart or van Gogh. They are the great timeless classics and speak a universal language. By ephemeral means, true artists have always tried to reach the universal after an often painful emotional journey through their own human natures. Results can sometimes be ambiguous as remarked British art critic Walter Pater (1839-1894) in his writings about the mystery of Mona Lisa , “this beauty into which the soul with all its maladies has passed.”

Scientists now know that the sense of smell is not perceived by the cortex of the brain. Smells connect straight into the lower brain, which relates to memories and emotions. As a result, if fragrances do not have any ” cognitive” effect, they can have an enormous emotional impact. The same scientists have also found out that women are more receptive to colors and smells than men.

Perfume making, like film making is a new art form. Less acknowledged than the so called “fine arts” perhaps, but a true art form nevertheless. Modern perfume making actually started in the 1920’s. New chemical components called “aldehydes” opened the possibilities to create elaborate complex compositions. Aldehydes make fragrance notes “sparkle”. Emotions provoked by compositions of well arranged fragrance notes are more intense.

Among the multiple fragrances available today, very few have reached the status of true classics. One of the most famous is Chanel’s No.5, actually one of the first “artificial” perfumes deliberately created as a composition. There is no coincidence in the fact that Chanel No.5 has had its popularity enhanced by several emotionally very influential artists. Everyone knows Marilyn Monroe’s witty reply when asked once by some journalist what she wore in bed: “Why, Chanel No.5 of course!” Andy Warhol also contributed to make Chanel No.5 into a pop icon when he created several of his world famous silkscreens with the No.5 bottle as a motif.

Less widely known but a true masterpiece, Robert Piguet’s Fracas is now gaining in popularity after having for years remained a cult fragrance among the privileged and the happy few. The very concept of Fracas is intentionally disruptive and emotional. Fracas, in French means tumult with nuances that could be conveyed through words like ram, crash, blast, or irrupt. It was intentionally provocative but also intriguing. Like a mystery. Fracas puts you in a mood where you want to know more about the person who wears it: it is insolent but also spell-binding. Emotional, sensuous, carnal and very sexy. You get hypnotized and enchanted.

I discovered Fracas as a young fashion model in New York many years ago. At the time I was wearing some of Kiehl’s famous compositions like “Rain” or “Smoke”. I also enjoyed a fine citrus fragrance called “Love” which has now disappeared. Coming once into a studio where I was booked, I had the surprise to discover that I would work in the company of one of the models I admired the most, Donna Mitchell. She was surrounded with this fascinating fragrance and I asked her about it. She told me the story of Fracas. In the evening, when I came back home, I had bought my first bottle and started a long love story with this perfume.

Fracas was the creation of Swiss born Robert Piguet (1898-1953) one of the era’s most talented fashion designers in Paris. With the cooperation of specialist Germaine Cellier, Piguet had launched his first fragrance, Bandit, in 1945. Cellier and Piguet then started to work on a completely new concept: a fragrance which would be of the utmost elegance but at the same time very provocative and emotionally charged. It came out in 1948. Piguet chose the name Fracas.

An intriguing, complex and rousing composition of tuberose, jonquil, jasmine, lilac and white iris, Fracas was too disruptive and too carnal not to provoke some hesitations and was not immediately accepted. Robert Piguet unfortunately fell ill shortly after. A perfectionist, he did not want his fashion house to survive him. After selling the expensive real estate, he generously gave a part of the money to his 400 employees and retired in Lausanne where he died in 1953.

Less strict with his fragrances, Robert Piguet accepted the continuation of his line of perfumes. But without the back-up of a powerful commercial organisation, Bandit and Fracas could not really compete with other fragrances from larger companies.

Few fragrances have been copied as much as Fracas. Its influence can be perceived in many recent compositions, which have often tried to provoke similar emotional reactions. Over the years it has remained the secret cult fragrance of many celebrities from different generations : today it is the favorite of icons like Princess Caroline of Monaco, Madonna, Uma Thurman, Courtney Love and many others.

Seiko – Becoming The New Name In Hip Watches

September 30th, 2008 -- Posted in Article | No Comments »

They sound like characters from an action video game – Orange Monster, Black Samurai, White Knight – but in fact, they’re three of the hippest watches made by Seiko and are much sought-after by wealthy enthusiasts and collectors, particularly in Asia.

This may come as a surprise, but Seiko watches are gaining an image as hip and collectable. In many parts of the world, the Seiko watch brand has been seen as reliable, but unremarkable. But look closely and an exceptional story begins to emerge.

Seiko burst onto the international watchmaking scene in 1969, when it caught off-guard and almost destroyed the Swiss watch industry with the launch of the Astron, the world’s first battery-powered quartz wristwatch. The Astron was more accurate and durable than the hand-wound mechanical Swiss watches costing several times as much. Overnight, demand for mechanical watches plummeted.

Many watchmaking innovations over the past three decades are probably due to Seiko: the first quartz watch; first quartz LCD with six-digit display (hours, minutes and seconds); first calculator watch; first quartz with day and date; first quartz chronograph (date, stopwatch and alarm); first TV watch; first thermic quartz watch (powered by the wearer’s body heat); first kinetic quartz watch (powered by the wearer’s movement)… and the list goes on. Seiko watches have been at the center of watch evolution, and its influence extends far beyond watchmaking: the LCDs in your clock radio, microwave oven or CD player all owe a debt to innovations made by Seiko.

Seiko, in fact, has been the innovator of so many industry “firsts” that it’s difficult to name them all. Recently, for example, was the 40th anniversary of the first quartz chronometer, launched at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Used to time marathons, it brought unprecedented precision to sports timekeeping, being accurate to within 0.2 seconds a day. Just a few years ago saw the 10th anniversary of the world’s first kinetic chronograph, the quartz watch powered by the movement of the wearer’s wrist, thereby eliminating the need for a battery. To celebrate the event, Seiko launched the Arctura Kinetic Chronograph, which takes kinetic movements to a new level of precision, being accurate to within 15 seconds per month.

While innovation and continuity rarely go together, Seiko has both. The company, founded in Tokyo by Kintaro Hattori in 1881, is still a family business. Although part of the business is a publicly traded company, the current president of Seiko Watch Corporation is the founder’s great-grandson, Shinji Hattori, who is also the nephew of the current honorable chairman.

Given Seiko’s history of producing revolutionary products and ideas that are emulated everywhere, you might expect that it would enjoy a reputation similar to that of Apple or Sony. Yet many people don’t few even realize that Seiko is the world’s leading manufacturer of watches, selling over 14 million watches annually. It also annually sells more than 350 million quartz movements to other watch makers. Here again, Seiko has revolutionized the watch making industry. Previously, only Swiss and Japanese companies could make reliable watches. But now anybody can simply add a dial, case and strap to a Seiko quartz movement and sell it under their own brand name. Although it doesn’t want to name companies it provides movements to, Seiko’s quartz movements are at the heart of many watches sold by some of the biggest name brands in fashion and sports.

Seiko doesn’t really get the respect it deserves. The product quality is phenomenal, but there’s a misperception of their brand.

Some people believe Seiko offers too many budget-price models. Cheap, in the public’s mind, means poor quality even if that’s not the case. Also, Seiko’s watch designs change too often. Some of the best Seiko watch designs never get the chance to develop a following, whereas the best Rolex or Omega watches stay in production for 20 or 30 years. For collectors, it’s a problem, and collectors add value to brands.

One Seiko executive recently stated the company is in the process of refining its brand. “We have very strong brand awareness, with around 70 per cent recognition of Seiko as a watchmaker. But there was some confusion about the brand. The company’s pioneering history, our dedication to producing elegant watches, wasn’t really understood. We’re proud of the company, so we decided to streamline and focus the branding, and emphasize our legacy.”

Until recently, regional Seiko companies sold the brand according to local tastes. But just recently the Japanese parent, Seiko Corporation, decided to overhaul its branding and marketing strategies. The company’s position is that customer perception of the brand should be the same in Tokyo, London, Paris, New York or Sydney. That means building a brand image that conveys core values, no matter what the market. Over a period of several months Seiko has revamped its public profile, from billboard and TV advertising to in-store presentation and packaging.

So far, the strategy has been successful. In line with company expectations, Seiko is gradually being seen as a premium watch brand. Not just trustworthy and reliable, but a real status brand. Technological innovation is at the heart of company, but Seiko watches have a certain refinement that they’re trying to emphasize also.

So, how might Seiko improve its brand status? Being the largest watch company, with an excellent line of products and constant innovation, perhaps Seiko could start by being a little less modest about their product.

3 Must Have Summer Sweaters

September 30th, 2008 -- Posted in Article | No Comments »

What do you wear to keep yourself warm in the air-conditioned buildings during summer. Outdoors, you’d want to dress light, with sleeveless tops, shorts, tank tops and anything that might let you cool off in the blazing heat.

When you step into a restaurant or even your office, the air-con may be on full blast and when it is directed at you, goosebumps surface, you shiver and looked like a plucked chicken. That’s when you realize that you need warm clothes all year round, including in summer.

On your summer vacation, when you return from the beach to your hotel, it can get really cold with over-enthusiastic airconditioning. And when you sleep, your temperature falls, you could snuggle up under the blanket, but if like me, you are the sort to kick off the blankets when you sleep, you are liable to catch a chill.

You need a sweater (or three) even in summer.
Here are your best bets.

#1 The Denim Jacket

You can live in jeans all year round and that denim jacket might suit cooler climates. Okay, so that is not a sweater per se, but that is casual enough to wear like you would a sweater. Wear it over a summer dress when you go to a restaurant. Bring that along for your vacation to keep you warm on cold nights.

#2 Cashmere Sweater

If you find denim to hot for you, or if you prefer something more sophisticated, cashmere is your best bet. The fabric is soft and luxurious. The look, totally elegant. You can even wear it with your more sophisticated dresses.

#3 Jersey Sweater

In between denim and cashmere, you have the more affordable jersey tops.

Jersey drapes beautifully and are excellent light-weight sweaters if you are on a budget. They are supercomfortable and extremely flattering. These sweaters can be worn during the colder months. Layered over your favourite dress or your jeans and t-shirts.

Dating Advice – Winter Fashion Tips for Single Women

September 29th, 2008 -- Posted in Article | No Comments »

Whether braving the wind tunnels in downtown Toronto or damp nights in Seattle, keeping warm and looking hot is something women coast to coast want to capture. Learn how to dress in layers so you’re ready for anything, vamp up the makeup and keep warm and look hot, despite cool temperatures.

Layer Clothing

First, you need to learn the art of layering your clothing so you’re ready for any event life throws your way. Remember, skin is in all year round, even when the weather doesn’t seem to permit. You can fix this problem by wearing several thin fashionable layers. Your final layer should be a cool, trendy coat. If you’re more demure, go for a black coat with a faux fur collar to add some excitement.

Touchable Fabrics

You want that touch-me kind of fabric, which is the basic rule of looking hot and keeping warm. Anything that feels good to touch (such as cashmere or velvet) should fill your closet during winter months. They will make you feel great and look amazing too. Don’t be afraid to show cleavage or a little skin in these fabrics.

Just Add Color

When you think of “hot” colors, red comes to mind. Instead of the little black dress, go for the little red dress – even in winter (just make sure your coat is warm). This change of pace will make you look sultry, even if it’s not so hot outdoors.

Get Some Color

A tan makes the winter blues run for the door in an instant. If you can’t getaway on a warm tropical holiday, why not get the best self tanner you can find and fake it. These days tanners are made with the best possible ingredients ensuring you have a fabulous golden tan. Fashion tip: Put your tan to work with a winter white sweater!

Sexy Makeup

Without sultry makeup, what would most women do during the winter? Good question. To keep looking hot without breaking the bank with a wardrobe full of new clothes, you must master the art of creating smoky eyes with liner, full lashes and gray shadows. This will make you look hot no matter what.

Stunning Accessories

If you’re always wearing black, as many women do, get out that colorful sexy handbag. Why not try it in a sexy fabric like purple or green velvet. Earrings should be long and dangle to mid-neck. Anything you can do to draw attention to the face is a must, since you’re all covered up everywhere else. If you’re showing more skin, try a delicate necklace strategically placed to draw attention to your collarbones. Gold jewelry always looks stunning with skin.

With these tips, you will master the philosophy of looking hot, while keeping warm. Just remember to be yourself, only sexier. Not only will it be easier to get through those cold winter months, but it will give you motivation to look your best all year round.

7 Ways You Can Make Your Christmas Gift Giving Easier

September 28th, 2008 -- Posted in Article | No Comments »

Do you struggle around Christmas time to decide what gifts to give to your friends, and family but also your neighbors, business clients, and others to whom you feel obligated to give something? You can stop the struggle and make your Christmas gift giving easier. Here are 7 ways to make Christmas gift giving a breeze.

1. Plan early and well ahead of time. I know it is very easy to say that you will plan ahead and then you fail to do it but the reality is that the very easiest way to make your Christmas gift giving easier is to plan ahead. By planning ahead you will have a larger selection of gifts from which to choose. Furthermore, you will be able to keep your eyes open for any unique gifts, which may be well suited for one or more people on your list.

2. Network and speak with the people you know about what ideas they have for gift-giving as well as who they know who makes or sells products as a part of their home-based business. Many times these people sell items you can use, as Christmas gifts for either less money than you would spend at a store or at a convenience that can’t be beat. You may even be able to get these gifts customized for your business and delivered for you.

3. Think simple. Many times the people on your Christmas gift- giving list would much rather receive one simple item such as a candle, a calendar or a fruit basket than something complicated. This can also be much easier on you. What about giving candles to all the women and calendars to all the men? You will be hard pressed to find a woman who does not like candles and men all use and appreciate calendars. This is just an example of how you can make your Christmas gifts much easier. Choose two items and give one to all the women and one to all the men.

4. If you will need to do a large amount of mailing or delivery, start collecting the addresses you will need in an address book or database well ahead of time. The ideal is to collect the addresses as soon as you meet the person or as soon as you decide this is someone to whom you will be giving a Christmas gift.

5. If you come from a large family, consider drawing names or taking turns and giving only one Christmas gift each year. This will allow you to spend more money on one person rather than purchasing many small gifts, which will soon be forgotten. Furthermore, you can concentrate well in advance on finding a gift for this one person.

6. For your neighbors and business clients consider finding one item which most people love such as a kind of bread and jam, a candle or another kind of food item or decoration and purchasing these in bulk.

7. If you have small children or are very busy consider trying to find someone who can work with you on a personalized basis and from whom you can order all your Christmas gifts in one stop. Ideally this person would be available to come to your home and help you with your entire Christmas gift list. If you need help finding such as person, ask around or try contacting personal shoppers at department stores.

The New Shoe Does Anything but Fall Flat

September 26th, 2008 -- Posted in Article | No Comments »

You just have to give in-flats are the shoe right here, right now. Some women only wear flats while others wouldn’t dare be caught with them on. It has no effect on how tall you are because the flat shoe looks great for people of all heights. Actually, if you are petite, flat shoes can make you look taller if you’re dressed monochromatically—all in the same color from head to toe, stockings included. This draws the eye up and makes shorter women look taller and well put together.

Every woman should wear flats. They’re comfortable and make a good driving shoe. Paired with the hot skinny jeans that are all the rage right now, flats are a must. Pair them with A line skirts or beautiful sweater dresses. Wear them right, and flats can be stylish, playful and dramatic. Flats should definitely have a place in your closet.

Use the following guidelines to be sure that your fashion-rating is high even when your heels aren’t:

Look for Stylish Flats

Since flats usually aren’t as dynamic as heels, look for flats in fashionable colors, materials and textures to help jazz up your look without having to resort to higher heels. The main buzz right now is flats in quilted fabrics, like those from Juicy Couture. Flats that are a must these season are black patent leather Mary Janes. like the ones you can find at SAKS 5th Avenue or at Chanel. The flats go with everything, from shorts to knit dresses and flirty skirts to capris.

Dress Up Simple Flats for an Ultra-Feminine Look

Some flats are decorated with a buckle in front, others are tailored with a round, square or pointed toe. To make up for the simple styling of many flats, consider prettying up your outfit with the ultra-feminine and hip wrap tops, flared sleeves and layered shirts to help convey a head to toe “ballerina” look.

Flats and Skirts

Having no heel on your shoes can make your legs appear shorter. You can go for the monochromatic look as we discussed earlier to visually lengthen the leg. Or, If you prefer to wear flats with skirts, shoot for a hemline that is above the knee. This will also regain a look of length to your leg. Beware: Wearing flats with longer skirts make you look like your grandmother, and we certainly don’t want that.

The Right Pants for The Shoes

Capri pants and flats are a match made in heaven, but if you’re wearing long pants, make sure they aren’t too long. It’s sloppy to have your hem drag on the Perhaps the best look with pants are when the flats are coupled with flare lef pants. Plus, when paired with the new skinny jeans, flats are especially gorgeous and as the wearer, you will be in the highpoint of style this season.

What to Wear with Ballerina Flats

Remember when these were so much like real ballerina slippers, and you had to wind the pink ribbon around your ankles? Things changed., How did they change? Now you can find everything from sneakers to evening shoes that are inspired by ballet slippers, and therefore could be categorized as ballerina flats.

Because they don’t have a heel at all, ballerina flats have a tendency to make ones legs appear shorter, so petite women should either avoid them altogether or

Pair them up with a shorter skirt so it extends the amount of leg that is shown. Because of this same quality, Ballerina Flats look especially nice on taller women.

The most captivating of all ballerina flats are those with satin and

embellishments. It makes anything you wear instantly exotic and glamourous. If you need a flat shoe for jeans, try a leather skimmer, or for a sporty look, wear a casual skimmer made of canvas as they look really cute with shorts and denim skirts.

Wearing ballet flats with longr skirts and dresses can create a feeling of romance, but again, it would make petite women look even shorter.

You don’t have to sacrifice fashion, form. style and elegance for comfort. So, whether you’re petite or an amazon, or somewhere in between, give your feet a break every once in a while, and slip into a pair of ultra-comfortable flats that accompanies this season’s dramatic looks.
