The temperatures are starting to drop all across the country and flakes of snow are beginning to fall from the sky. Do you know what that means? Well, it means that it is time to start thinking of revising your winter wardrobe for the season. Look, I’m know that it’s difficult to think about fashionable accessories or whether or not you look good as you’re freezing your tail off. However, if you get the chance to do it, go for it and stand out from the crowd.
It’s easy to expand your existing wardrobe while looking cool and warm at the same time. Just remember that being well dressed and looking is not hard to accomplish. All it takes is knowing the basic principles of men’s fashion combined with knowing how to stay warm. Here are some of the top fashion pieces for the winter, and ways to work them into your everyday life:
- I don’t care what kind type of fashion style you claim to have you should have at least one really nice and really expensive jacket or overcoat. Find one that is made from either wool or down if you plan on staying nice and warm during the cold winter months. Go for the more formal look by picking a longer one with a nice collar and buttons.
- I know you already have a suit for those formal occasions in life, but the one you already have was probably made with the spring and summer months in mind. You need to buy yourself a winter suit. Modern 3-button cut woolen suits work great in gray, black or navy colors and show versatility for the occasion.
- Invest in a good pair of khakis made from wool or jeans with a thicker fabric free of holes and tears. You want to keep your legs nice and warm and these two options will do just that.
- You are going to want something to wear over your casual or dressy shirts when it it is cold outside. A nice warm blazer or tweed sport jacket can do all that plus are rather comfortable too. Another good look is a snug vest worn over in knits and other casual shirts in neutral colors such as and reds, browns and greens. Complete the look with a zip-front knit over shirts and hooded sweatshirts.
- Since it is the winter and cold outside, it is important that you layer your clothing to keep you warm. To do this you’ll need shirts and sweaters that can be layered over each other. For example, a nice cashmere sweater can be worn underneath button downs and sport jackets as long as it is thin enough. Buy yourself a trendy long sleeve shirt in a polo or button down to go with a pair of jeans or dress khakis. If you need to wear a suit, then opt for something dressier and formal than a casual one.
- During the wintertime you need at least one good pair of boots. The most important thing to keep warm in the snow are your feet. Looking good while staying warm is not an easy task but with some black or brown suede boots you won’t have any issues. They can be worn in business and casual settings. Make sure they are treated to repel water or they’ll end up ruined before you know it.

Armani is well known for their jeans, both comfortable and incredibly stylish. The dark wash remains “in” this Autumn 2008. Both the straight leg and the loose leg appear in the new collection for menswear. Also popular are Recycled Cotton Jeans. Ideal for the environmentally conscious man that also wants to make a strong fashion statement! The Recycled Cotton Jeans come in white and have a relaxed fit that is looser than a straight leg sit. These jeans are ideal to wear with sneakers or loafers.
Armani has been a leader in menswear since they appeared on the casual clothing radar more than ten years ago. Each of their sub-brands becomes more popular each year. Their casual menswear has a strong reputation for being modern, durable and a true trendsetter.
Also popular are the Cargo Pants and the Brad Pants with Oversized Pockets. These khaki pants can easily be worn to work on casual day with a polo shirt and a sweater. While some workplaces still do not permit jeans, most would easily permit these very stylish khaki pants from Armani. Browns and khaki colors are very “in” this Autumn 2008 season as natural tones are seen in menswear.
It is clear that the dark jeans remain the clear leader in jeans styles for men. While the straight leg is the more classic style, the loose leg style also has many fans. A loose leg jean is perfect for clubbing and also goes quite well with boots. Men of different body types often find they look good in the different jeans – some men truly are more comfortable wearing the loose leg jeans.
Armani shirts remain unique and popular. This season sees the Overlapping t-shirt with a white t-shirt appearing underneath. Quite reminiscent of many popular athletes that double up on sportswear as they practice before a big game, this doubled t-shirt look promises to be very popular. Very unique, the Coat of Arms t-shirt with a gold printed coat of arms. This is a t-shirt to get you noticed. Ideal for the club or socializing with your friends, it has a dressy look to it and would look perfect with a dark blazer or jeans jacket.
Armani Jeans is an ideal choice for any man: for that casual day at work or that date where you want to make a great impression. These modern European casual clothes for men will get you noticed!

There are more ways to use free printable greeting cards than the obvious one of sending greetings to family and friends. I came up with three “Think outside the fold” ideas to use quarter fold printable greeting cards that you may fine useful, so I thought I would share them with you.
Idea #1
Use a quarter-fold free printable greeting card as a candy bag for Halloween. It is just around the corner…you know…the time when ghosts and goblins will be running loose in the streets looking for treats or passing out tricks. The bags I am talking about are treat bags to be handed out to all these little demons. Simply take a Halloween version of a free printable Halloween card and fill the back fold with a predetermined amount of candy and seal the open sides with a cute little Halloween sticker. Now you are ready to keep the ghosts and goblins happy on Halloween night and avoid cleaning due soaked toilet paper from your trees the next day.
Idea #2
Along the same lines as idea number one…use free printable greeting cards to make Birthday party gift bags. Quarter fold greeting cards can be used to hold all those little trinkets that are handed out at the end of a Birthday party. You know the trinkets I’m taking about, the ones you end up stepping on in the middle of the living room floor for the next couple of months until you get so irritated, you through them away. Funny how you never hear “Hey mom or dad, where is that little useless thing that I got at my friends Birthday party?” This idea can be useful in a couple of ways, one, the giving of these little trinkets at the end of a great Birthday celebration and two, keeping the inside note general, thanking people for coming and bringing gifts to the celebration in the form of a birthday thank you card.
Idea #3
This idea for anniversaries might work as well…..I know it sounds cheap on the surface but hear me out for a second and it just might work. For the guys reading this out there, it is important that you slide a very nice piece of jewelry or something along those lines into the back fold of the card or you’re going to regret you ever read this and said “You know, that sounds like a great idea.” I guess what I am saying is that a condom is not going to cut it. The same goes for the women out there …..the keys to a new Harley or tickets to the Super Bowl are the only way this will have a chance of getting the reaction you are looking for.
Can you see it….let me set it up for you. Your spouse walks up and says “Happy anniversary baby” and hands you a free printable anniversary card…..the receiving spouse gives a hug and a kiss and says “Thanks baby” while thinking “What the hell, x years with this person and all I rate is a free printable greeting card….what the hell?” The giving spouse, sensing the up and coming pummeling he or she is about to get quickly says “Open it, I want to see the look on your face!” instead of the look you have on your face right now you think to yourself as you wait in anticipation. The receiving spouse opens the card sees what’s in the back fold and “BOOM”, joyful marital bliss for another year or at least one would hope so. Remember, the gift has to be good for this to have a chance to work, if not, it will be a different kind of BOOM, a bad BOOM.
Anyway, there are three different ideas for using free printable greeting cards other than the tried and true. Maybe you can think of your own “Think outside the fold” ideas. Good luck and have fun with it.

It’s here! This season’s styles, fabrics, and colors have hit the mall. Fashion week has come and gone in NYC and now we’re seeing this season’s styles filter into our favorite stores. Lets talk a bit about these trends and how they apply to you and I in the real world.
First of all, three cheers to purple! Purple and violet is everywhere. This year, however, we’re delighted to see rich scarlet shades of purple. For at least the last five fashion seasons now, we have been looking at the most drab 70’s shade just waiting for some eye candy to wake us up. Although, it seem like we’re not quite there yet. The mysterious sexy deep purples this fall are a great start. Hopefully, the season will be followed up with rich scarlet reds and golds for winter.
Another great trend we love is the animal print fabric. This seems to be a spill over from last spring when sexy animal print prom dresses were a huge hit in stores, but we’re not complaining. We love it when a style lasts more than six months. It give us more wear out of our newly bought sexy play clothes. One important word of caution when it comes to wearing cheetah print; it is meant to be form fitting and sexy. Absolutely any woman can wear animal print. However, in order to pull it off right, the garment has to be the right size for your figure. Do not wear a cat print too tight. There are no fat cheetahs in the world, and we get confused when we see one. Do not wear it like a painters smock either, as one does not like to be accused of wearing a rug.
The styles for certain types of formal wear are timeless, such as classic white flower girl dresses and first communion dresses. This doesn’t mean of course you have to abandon classic styles in order to look fresh. For example, a classic autumn wedding is full of gold and burgundy tones. One can accessorize beautifully by putting a royal purple tie on your ring bearer or violet rose petals for your flower girls to throw. In-season colors can be subtle while staying true to the color schemes that reflect your personality.

Sandals are the most comfortable shoes for summer season that gain you great comfort and relief. Many do like to prefer wearing them while strolling on the beach sides or walking on the streets or any garden. But do you ever thinking of cleaning your sandals to retain their quality and ensure long lasting durability? No. Only a few provide proper care to their footwear. Improper care will definitely affect the quality of your fave footwear and also cause odor formation.
Caring you sandals is must to maintain their quality for a long term. There are no hard and fast rules in cleaning your footwear. One can clean them as such like you clean your athletic shoes. All you need is a little more attention and care while cleaning them. This article below listed out some of the most common ways and tips of cleaning sandals that will be of great help to you;
- Grim off the dust and debris on your sandals with a tooth brush slowly before washing them.
- Clean the footwear with cold water mixed with any soft detergent and again brush them softly to remove the dirt and debris attached to the soles of the shoes.
- Use a soft brush to smoothly clean any scars on your shoes. Use a wet cloth with little flap of any light detergent to gently rub the scars on the leather sandals. For suede sandals, take a damp cloth dipped in little amount of vinegar and smoothly rub on the marked areas. And then, rinse off the shoes thoroughly with water.
- Never forget to clean in between the straps of your footwear that may cause discomfort to your feet by causing any irritation while walking.
- After washing, wipe and dry your footwear in a well ventilated area to avoid odor formation. You can even stuff them with news papers to wick away the moisture and thus maintain their original shape.
- To keep your shoes smell fresh, sprinkle a pinch of baking soda in them. This will kill the odor causing bacteria if any and keep your shoes smell fresh.
- Always keep a pair of odor-eating insoles available in the market. These insoles are designed with bacteria repellents that eradicate the odor causing bacteria thus keeping your footwear odor free.
- Another most important thing is never soak any designer or jeweled sandals soaked in water. Soaking them in water will peel off the embedded jewels, beads or any ornaments on your footwear.
- Air-dry you shoes after every wear to avoid moisture formation which may further cause shoe odor.
