Sometimes you may feel like you don’t have the support you need to move forward. You might feel busted and disgusted. When it’s your turn to be encouraged, you may feel no one can or will help. We have all been there. But you don’t have to be there anymore. I discovered something that all successful people know.
There is a way to combat that feeling each and every time you get stagnate. You will be able to push yourself along whether you have help or not. That’s right. You can literally change your situation in an instant — at will — and be on your way to the success you deserve!
It’s a simple concept, but the practice is highly uncommon. If more people implemented this little technique, they would be amazed at their results.
The secret is…(Insert Drum Roll Here)
Consistent Daily Action!
If you’re not getting what you want out of life, the first place to look is at your daily actions and habits. You must ask yourself, “What small steps am I taking everyday towards any one goal?” You will be amazed to find that your daily action is either not happening or not consistent enough to produce the result you’re after. Consistent daily action, regardless of how small, is the single most effective key to achieving any level of success you want.
So you have to plan your work. Do you have a real plan that is clear and focused? If the answer is “no” You have to re-assess your desires and find out what’s holding you back.
If you don’t have a large enough reason for moving forward everyday. IT JUST WON’T HAPPEN. Select one specific goal you would like to work on first. Now, set a date for completion.
Next, create a plan for reaching that goal. What tools, knowledge, suppliers, professionals, finances, etc. do your think you need? Get that all together. WRITE IT DOWN. I’ve carried a Franklin Planner for several years. I find it very useful in keeping my schedule, tasks and projects in order, but I have been known to grab a good old fashion legal pad or loose-leaf notebook every now and again if it’s closer. I’m not high tech, so I write everything down. There are lots of systems, software, cherries and blackberries available. The absolute best system to use
is one that works for you!
Break the plan down into manageable daily steps that will assist you in achieving your goal. Once the goal is set, you can ask yourself, “What will I need to accomplish in order to get from here to there?” Now get moving. Refuse to be stopped. Celebrate failure because you learn more from it than you do from success. Decide not to give up until you win!
If you haven’t taken the time or you just need a loving shove, I have good news for you. Here it is.

Are you working in an organization that values innovation and creativity? Are the leaders in your organization open to possibility?
One of the most powerful questions one can ask oneself in the present moment is What new ideas can we put into action right now? You need to continually change to be successful.
How effective are you at encouraging creativity?
Enhancing Creativity in the Workplace
People will be most creative when they feel motivated by their work, in and of itself. When people are engaged because of their own natural interest and satisfaction in their work, they will be challenged to be creative through their own intrinsic motivation. External pressures or rewards are never as effective as internal motivation. In order to tap into that resource, people must be matched to jobs that tap into underlying values that motivate and excite them.
In addition to intrinsic motivation, two other components are necessary within an individual for creative resourcefulness, according to Theresa Amabile (Harvard Business Review, 1998).
1. Expertise: a person must have the necessary technical, procedural and intellectual knowledge.
2. Creative-thinking skills: a person must be able to use their thinking in flexible and imaginative ways.
Trying to develop your expertise and creative-thinking skills can be time-consuming. It is far easier to enhance and tap into your internal motivation.
Amabile writes about six managerial practices that enhance creativity. These categories emerged from more than two decades of research that focused on the links between environment and creativity.
1. Challenge: Matching the right person with the right job in order to play into their expertise and creative thinking skills. Making a good match requires the manager to have access to important information about employees and their preferences. This may mean using information available through assessments such as DISC, PIAV, Meyers-Briggs or other instruments that indicate values and preferences. This also requires good listening and observing. People express what interests them and excites them all the time. Are you listening?
2. Freedom: Intrinsic motivation and ownership is enhanced when people are free to approach their work the way they choose. Managers tend to mismanage freedom by changing goals frequently or failing to define them clearly. Worse, they grant freedom in name only, declaring employees to be empowered and then they delineate the process to be followed and give penalties for divergence.
3. Resources: Time and money can either support or kill creativity. Some time pressures can heighten creativity. Organizations routinely kill creativity with fake deadlines or impossibly tight ones. This creates distrust, or burnout. Creativity takes time. Incubation periods have to be scheduled in.
Project resources that are too limited can push people to use their creativity to finding additional resources, rather than actually developing new products or services.
4. Work-Group Features: Managers must create teams with a diversity of perspectives and backgrounds. When people come together with diverse intellectual foundations and approaches to work, ideas often combine in exciting and useful ways.
Managers often make the mistake of putting similar people together. This may seem desirable because the people see eye to eye and get along, thus making decisions quicker. Their very homogeneity, however, does little to enhance expertise and creative thinking.
5. Supervisory Encouragement: Managers neglect to praise creative successes and unsuccessful efforts and thereby inadvertently contribute to stifle creativity. To sustain passion, people need to feel their work matters and is important. A certain tolerance is required for mistakes and failures so that they can be used creatively.
Managers often look for reasons not to use a new idea. Research shows that an interesting psychological dynamic underlies this phenomenon. People believe that their bosses will perceive them as smarter if they demonstrate critical, analytical thinking.
This creates a bias that has severe consequences for the creative process. Such a culture of evaluation leads people to focus on external rewards and punishments instead of on being creative. It creates a climate of fear that undermines intrinsic motivation.
6. Organizational Support: Creativity is truly enhanced when the entire organization supports it. Leaders can support creativity by ensuring that information sharing and collaboration is the norm. Political problems and gossip take the attention of people away from work. That sense of mutual purpose and excitement that is so central to tapping into the power of intrinsic motivation must be encouraged and supported. It can be killed by cliques and political factions.

Ray Lewis was born on May 15, 1975 in Bartow, Florida. Although Lewis may not be the most well liked player in the NFL, he is surely one of the best. From his middle linebacker position Lewis wreaks havoc on opposing offenses week in and week out. It is safe to say that he is one of the best defensive players in the league due to his hard hits, intensity, strength, and overall speed.
After a successful career at the University of Miami, Lewis was ready to take on the NFL. He was selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the 26th pick in the first round. Although many teams passed him by on draft day, it is safe to say that they regret this each and every time they have to meet Lewis on the field.
During his time in the league Lewis has won many awards. In 2000 and 2003 he won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award. This makes him only the sixth player ever to win this award more than once. He was also the MVP of Super Bowl 2000 when he led the Ravens to a victory.
For his career Lewis has amassed 1,838 tackles, 79 pass deflections, 12 fumble recoveries, 23 interceptions, and 28 sacks. He has managed to put up these gaudy numbers in only 148 games. These stats were good enough to earn recognition on the Pro Bowl Team on eight different occasions.
It is safe to say that Lewis will always been known as one of the best middle linebackers to ever play the game. Although he did not come into the NFL with the hype of some other players, he has proved that he is among the cream of the crop. When Lewis finally decides to hang up his spikes for good he can be proud that he left a legacy behind.

The Bible says, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep yourself unspotted from the world” (James 1:27).
Such is Cathy Lechner’s legacy as her life radiates compassion for children, the hurting and the helpless. Cathy is the wife of Randi and proud mother of their seven children: Jerusha Rose, Hannah Ruth, Gabriel Levi, Samuel Josiah, Abagael Elisha, Lydia Danielle and Hadassah Rose. Several of her children have been adopted.
Cathy is the daughter of an Assemblies of God minister, and being raised in the church she is well prepared for life as a minister.
Cathy teaches the Word of God with great joy and power. Her humor is disarming, allowing the listener to both laugh and cry as they are challenged in their walk with the Lord. She moves both in the Word of Knowledge and in a strong prophetic anointing. Her prophetic word is an accurate voice in the Church today.
I have been personally ministered to by Cathy on numerous occasions at women’s conferences where I managed to slip in and receive prophetic ministry. At times when I was having difficulty hearing God, I attended Cathy’s meetings at the Winter Park Civic Center and heard from the Spirit of the Lord through her. What she prophesied to me concerning my apostolic calling, call to be an author and to have a mighty ministry in the earth has progressively been coming to pass.
Cathy’s style of delivering the Word of God is refreshing, fun, makes you laugh and lifts you to the heavens as your heart is filled with hope for the future. Hundreds of lives have been blessed, healed and encouraged through Cathy’s wonderful ministry.
The world is a better place because of Cathy Lechner.

You’ve heard that ‘knowledge is power’, right?
Hopefully you also know that knowledge is not power
until it’s acted on.
Power is essential for your success, but just what is ‘power’?
Power is the ability to get yourself to act intelligently, on
knowledge you’ve acquired. Power is organized effort.
However you look at it, power implies gossip involves your taking
appropriate, intelligent, ACTION. Action leads to results.
Let’s back up a bit. If your results celebrity due to your actions,
and if your actions are due to your power, and if your power is
due to your knowledge, it follows that your first step in
acquiring the power to succ*eed, is getting knowledge.
No wonder the wisest man in the world said ‘in all your getting,
get understanding’. Knowledge comes before the gold and silver.
So where does knowledge come from? Three main sources are:
- God (the all-knowing Source, aka ‘infinite Intelligence’).
- Accumulated knowledge and experience from man (found in libraries,
schools, etc)
- Continuing research and experimentation.
Now you have a choice when it comes to acquiring knowledge: you
can do it the easy (smart) way or the hard (stupid) way.
The hard way is to do it all by yourself, thinking you don’t
need anyone else to guide you or support you. This is a sure-
fire way to failure: no great man or woman has ever achieved
any measure of succ*ess all alone.
It’s just plain difficult for any one individual to assemble *all*
the required knowledge and expressing it through ‘definite plans
of action’. I won’t spend any more time discussing this route as it’s
a waste of your time (and mine).
The easy way to acquire the knowledge you need, and inject it
with *power* while you’re at it – in other words, the way to
accelerate your success, is by becoming part of a ‘Master Mind
Group’.
I first learned this phrase from Napoleon Hill, so let me give
you his definition:
“The Master Mind is the co-ordination of knowledge and effort
in a spirit of harmony, between 2 or more people, for the
attainment of a definite purpose” – from ‘Think & Grow Rich’.
Andrew Carnegie had at least 50 men in his Master Mind group.
History books readily show you the stupendous results he
acquired in his life. Henry Ford had several people in his group
and his legacy remains today, despite his limited education.
Oprah surrounds herself with a team of people and the result
of this collective effort is obvious. The list of examples is
endless. The evidence demands action on your part.
Here’s how it works. Anytime 2 or more people come together
in a spirit of harmony and cooperation, to achieve a definite
purpose, it becomes a case of ‘1 + 1 = 11′. Jesus said that
‘when 2 or more of you gather together in my name, *and agree*
upon *anything* here on earth, it shall be done for you’. If
that isn’t a formula for getting results, I don’t know what is.
He also said ‘when 2 or more gather in my name, I am there in
their midst’.
This is not about religion. It is a practical principle which
every successful person alive employs consciously or
unconsciously. Nature and science teach that this is so.
Think of a group of batteries: when they are connected together
they provide more energy than a single battery would do.
Likewise when your mind connects with other minds during a
Master Mind session, together, the group has more energy than
any individual member of the group. Better still, the collective
(and increased) energy is available to each member of the group.
Remember that thought is energy which brings about physical
manifestation. I hope you are starting to see how you can
accelerate your results by surrounding yourself with others
in a Master Mind group.
Masterminding is a powerful form of leverage. Henry Ford is a
good example of this. He was not educated, but he surrounded
himself by men who were. He leveraged off their knowledge.
The members of your group make up for your deficiencies, as you
help make up for theirs.
If you desire to make this your best year yet, you cannot afford
NOT to be a part of a mastermind group. Plug into the wisdom and
experience of others. In surrounding yourself with those who
have attained that which you desire, you take on their nature,
habits and thought-power. They in return will benefit from those
areas of life you’re good at or strong in, so that everyone in
the group wins.
Now as with everything else, you have a choice when it comes to
being part of a Master Mind group: you could go about trying to
form one yourself, or you could plug into a ready-made one that’s
spearheaded by people who have successfully applied the mastermind
principle to create massive success in their lives.
If any of your goals is worth achieving, if you truly desire to
see RESULTS this year (as early as this week, if you desire)
you’d be wise to go for the second option. Or you could spend the
rest of the year trying to go it alone.
Your decision.
I leave you with a line from the song ‘Decision’ by Michelle Blood:
“Decisions – winners make them fast, losers make them slow!”

Life Is Not A Race To Be Won; It Is A Journey To Be Enjoyed.
What is success? What is happiness? Are they one and the same, or do they differ? Most equate happiness with success. Others, although they may have accomplished many of the things they set out to do, still are not happy. They have achieved their goals, but without happiness sunblock good has it done them?
People are not searching for success. There are thousands of books on success – all containing steps, formulas, and techniques on how to succeed. Many are great books, but much of what they teach doesn’t bring happiness to a person’s life. People want to be happy. Happiness isn’t a gift God gives to some and refuses to give to others. You can be happy. In fact, hair have a right to be happy.
Are you happy?
Let me ask you, do you think all happy people are successful? Are all successful people happy? Interesting questions, aren’t they? They are difficult to answer. How you define success and happiness determines how you answer.
What Society Would Have You Believe:
Society would have us believe that happiness is what we have, not who we are. You probably have heard people say things like, “I would be happy if I had a million dollars,” “…owned a yacht,” “…lived in a mansion,” or “…drove an expensive car.” Sure, it is possible to have these things and still be happy, but these material possessions do not produce happiness.
Ask the wife who has all the jewelry and all the clothes she could ever imagine who discovers that her husband is cheating on her. Is she happy? Certainly not! Ask the celebrity who supposedly has it all, but winds up in the mental institution. Is she happy? Although someone may have all the money, cars, houses, and toys one could ever want, that does not mean they are happy. Life is more than achieving your personal goals and acquiring material possessions. True happiness is the direct result of knowing your purpose and making forward progress toward its fulfillment. Without purpose, life is meaningless and ultimately very dissatisfying.
Purpose:
Without purpose, people lose sight of the larger picture of life. They become unhappy because they want to be somewhere they are not. They don’t understand where they are currently is an important stage along the journey to their destiny.
Would you rather be somewhere than where you are presently? Many, including myself at times, probably could answer YES! If you think about it for a moment, we torture ourselves when we constantly focus on being somewhere other than where we are. When you focus on how far you still have to go and where you are not, are you happy? Definitely not. When you focus your attention on how far you still have to go instead of how far you have come, you will feel discouraged and disappointed.
Choose To Be Happy:
Let’s face it, if you are still hoping for happiness, it means you don’t have it. Sure, maybe things are going pretty well, but what happens when things don’t go according to plan? Does your happiness go on vacation until things are going better? If you haven’t found the self-sufficient happiness that you would like by now, maybe you do not know where to find it. So where are we supposed to look? Happiness is a choice we must all make. If you want to be happy, make the decision today that “no matter what comes your way, or where you are, there is always something to be happy about.”
Take Action:
1. How happy are you on a scale of 1 – 10? Why?
2. What must happen in order for you to feel happy and successful?
3. Who do you know that is truly happy? Schedule a time when you can get together with them.
